I met Ting and Graham last year for their first wedding ceremony. They had a beautiful summer day to say their vows on the lawn of the Hartley Mason Reserve in York Maine. That beautiful weather decided to stick with them for their larger celebration this past weekend. Ting’s family came all the way from Malaysia so I am glad the New England fall weather did not disappoint! Ting and Graham had their sweet first look at the exact same location they exchanged vows last year. After taking some formal photos of family and the bridal party we walked around the beautiful area, enjoying the colors and warm October sunshine.
The ceremony and reception took place at Foster’s Clam Bake in York, Maine. Ting and Graham said their vows in front of friends and family and were off to the party before they knew it! Since we had the time to get all the formal photos completed beforehand, Graham and Ting were able to enjoy their guest during cocktail hour- until we stole them away for a little sunset action. I think my favorite part of this wedding was the maid of honor’s toast. There is an old Malaysian toast of good luck where everyone in the room yelled “yam” as loud and as long as they could and they finished off their last little bit of breath with the word “seng,” also as loud as possible. I was not expecting the “yam” to last as long as it did! Everyone had smiles on their faces and you could feel the love filling the air. A close second favorite was running from table to table as fast as we could so Ting and Graham could get a photo with each table before the song played by the DJ was done- talk about adrenaline- so fun!
Congratulations Ting & Graham, all the best to you both!
