Lizzie & John had an amazingly beautiful wedding day- even with the sudden torrential downpour! These two are both so sweet and so kind and were so deserving of a perfect day.
It was warm and sunny as Lizzie and John had their first look….boy were we lucky! We got off of the uncovered, vulnerable dock to take some family and bridal party photos when we all noticed the very dark, very large cloud drifting in overhead. A few sprinkles came down and the intelligent wedding party decided to head to the covered porch. Kerry and I looked at each other and said “eh, it won’t be that bad, let’s wait under this big tree.” Sure, that would have been fine if that little sprinkle stayed consistent. But, alas, hard no. That little sprinkle turned into a full blown flooding rain. We eventually made it to the porch after an awkward, equipment covering run.
The rain cleared quickly and the sun came back out for this sweet couple to have a beautiful ceremony. After a fun cocktail hour, heart filled speeches and a lovely dinner- the golden hour came and what a golden hour it was. When I think of sunset photos with my couples – THIS – is the light that I dream of. It was soft, warm and oh so glowy. Lizzie and John were giggly, fun and enjoying every second of their beautiful time together on their wedding day.
Congrats to these two, from one middle child to a couple more. All the best to you guys!
