Emma & Dan are good for the soul. We had a record number of weddings this season and I loved each and every one of them. But the late nights of editing and office work do catch up to me, especially with the early morning school drop offs at the end of the season. Emma & Dan held our very last wedding of the season and it could not have been more perfect. Emma’s infectious charisma and energy brought a new wave of fun to a wedding day and Dan’s endless smile warmed the heart.
The girls were getting ready, rocking out to music, per usual, when “Believer” came on and Emma wanted nothing of it unless it was the Shrek version. I knew from that very second that this day was going to be an awesome one! It was another beautiful fall day on the coast on Maine, another perfect day for a wedding. Emma & Dan shared a sweet first look followed by family portraits and some fun bridal party formals. We then took just Emma and Dan around for their portraits. Dan’s quiet demeanor quickly faded and he became very excited about the photos with his future wife and it was so amazing to see! They were both hoping for memories on the cliff walk but it is currently closed. A very kind security guard let us onto the very beginning of the path to create a few of those moments for Emma & Dan.
It was wonderful to witness the love and support of the family and friends in attendance that day. The cocktail hour was packed with hugs and smiles. The dance floor was also packed- prior to the salad course being served. Now this isn’t unheard of, but it is rare and when it happens it is so fun! I am pretty sure we captured enough dance photos to satisfy a full gallery before dinner was actually placed on the tables! One of my favorite parts of the day was when the guitarist (from the amazing band!) made his way on to the dance floor, rocking out and crushing it. Then I took a tiny look past him and see Emma, rocking out on her air guitar and hitting it even harder!
Congratulations Emma and Dan! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for wrapping up our 2022 wedding season on such a high note!
