Alexandra and Sam had the most perfect wedding day on the coast of Maine this past weekend. A couple of hours into shooting for the day they both confessed they had written the weather off and expected an inside ceremony due to rain, which was in the forecast. I didn’t tell them at the time, but I too was convinced it was going to be yet another rainy wedding day here in the Pine Tree State. Thankfully, we were all so very wrong!
Sam and Alexandra shared a sweet first look on the rocks overlooking the Atlantic ocean on the coast of Boothbay Harbor, Maine. It was picture perfect- happy, emotional, full of love…much like the rest of the day! After the first look we took bridal party photos as well as family portraits in order for the couple to enjoy their cocktail hour boat ride and have some time with their guests when they got back- mission accomplished. Everyone listened SO well during the portrait session (Alexandra and Sam also gave us a family shot list prior to the day- *hot tip* this helps!) which made things go so smoothly and sped up the process immensely! It is crazy how fast portraits can be done when people are listening and waiting for their turn…Alexandra and Sam’s friends and family all deserved extra whoopie pies at the reception for this!
I swear we are so incredibly fortunate to have the clients we have. I really don’t know how we get so lucky wedding after wedding, year after year. Alexandra and Sam were not only sweet and kind and easy to photograph but they enjoyed every second of their wedding day. They took their time chatting with friends, enjoying the ocean, and truly breathing in every moment and THAT is what makes for great documenting. Seeing the love they have for their friends and family as well as each other was amazing to witness through the lens of a camera.
Alexandra and Sam- thank you for being you and sharing your beautiful wedding day with us. We wish you all the best in this beautiful life together!
