A lot of couples I photograph met in college. Some couples met up in high school. Others met at a job after graduation or through mutual friends or a random chance encounter. Molly and Ross, however, met in 1st grade. FIRST GRADE. How amazing is that?! They had a sweet class photo (see below for a photo of that photo) from that year and they are standing next to each other.
Their love blossomed in high school and never stopped. And about twenty years after they met, they were married.
It was an oddly warm May day in Vermont, but beautiful nonetheless. I had photographed Ross’s sister’s wedding a few years back and seeing a lot of familiar faces was a refreshing start to my 2022 wedding season!
I met up with Ross and Molly last year for their engagement session. They told me they were terrible in front of the camera and that they hated attention solely on them. This is not uncommon for couples to feel this way. Also not uncommon, for couples to absolutely crush it. That is just what Molly and Ross did!! And come to find out, Molly was voted most beautiful baby and had this amazing baby picture show up during the reception of her as a bunny- so. stinking. cute! No wonder they were so natural in front of the camera!
Ross and Molly most certainly are a sweet couple with a love story decades in the making. Jordan, the best man, said it best: they light up their little corner of the world and make it a better place.
