If you were at Meghan and Cole’s wedding you know that they were born on the same day in the same hospital. It was mentioned in every speech of the day- as it should! How amazing is it that two babies, who shared time in the hospital nursery together, grew up, found each other, fell in love and got married?!
Those two lucky babies turned into two lucky adults who had the most beautiful wedding day. The sun was out and the weather was absolutely perfect for Meghan and Cole’s wedding at the always lovely Beech Ridge Barn in Scarborough, Maine. The only precipitation that fell that day were all the tears. Meghan made everyone cry. First look with dad- cry. First look with Cole- cry. Mom- cry. Grandma- cry. She was knocking them down left and right- so many happy tears!
Meghan and Cole decided to do a first look and exchange their vows privately. I love the bridge tucked at the back of the property- it is a perfectly quiet, intimate location for couples, and that is where Meghan and Cole exchanged their wedding vows to each other. Kerry and I were a little down the bridge as the vows were being read, closer to the moving water and we really couldn’t hear what was said. It was quite amazing to witness the emotion and love between Meghan and Cole during their private vows, even without hearing a word.
Two of my favorite moments of the whole day though came right after the ceremony. The first was when the parents of the bride and groom walked back down the isle hand in hand with the biggest smiles on their faces. The second was when Cole and Cole’s two brother walked into the house after the ceremony chanting “Sister! Sister! Sister!” and surrounded Meghan in a big hug. The brother’s were so excited to welcome Meghan into the family!
Congratulation Meghan and Cole- what a beautiful wedding day!
