Kathleen and Tom had a wonderful celebration of their marriage this past weekend. They had a private ceremony last year to officially tie the knot and hosted a beautiful gathering this year for their family and friends. The fall colors and crisp weather showed up as well, which is always appreciated.
The ceremony was help on the grounds at The Stone Barn, nestled in some very large oak and maple trees. It was so very fall in Maine and so very picturesque!
I always try to predict what the dance floor will be like based on the guests during cocktail hour. I have this little meter in my head that goes from “low key” to “epic rager.” My meter has been off more times than it has been accurate this year. And, again, I was wrong. I guessed a half full dance floor with some normally fun dancing. Well, little did I know, there was a plan in place for everyone to pack the dance floor wearing sunglasses (also have NO idea where everyone got these sunglasses. No where in the ceremony, cocktail hour or reception did I see sunglasses lined up….a mystery) to Secret Agent Man. It was very unexpected and very awesome! The rest of the night on the followed suit. Early 2000’s hit after early 2000’s hit rocked the dance floor until the very last song.
It was such an honor photographing Kathleen and Tom’s beautiful wedding celebration. The fall colors at The Stone Barn were some of the best I have seen around this year! I have heard that all the rain really muted the fall colors this year, apparently not in Sebago!
Congratulations Kathleen and Tom- all the best to you!
