Katie & Peter were married at the beautiful Jordan Hotel at Sunday River. It was a *tad* bit hot and humid but some very perfectly timed clouds helped keep the heat bearable! I met Katie and Peter back when I photographed Katie’s sister’s wedding in 2019. The family was so sweet and fun to work with then and they were every bit as awesome this past weekend. I always love photographing sibling’s weddings. It is almost like you are hanging out with old friends you haven’t seen in a while. It was great seeing Katie’s family again and meeting Peter’s for the first time.
The couple shared a sweet first look followed by a private vow reading ceremony where they read vows that they had written personally to each other. We then took some family formals along with the bridal party and a big beautiful cloud helped us all not melt!
There ceremony was picture perfect with the mountains for the backdrop. Then came a cocktail hour full of friends and family laughing and having a great time being in each others company! Katie and Peter were able to enjoy every minute of the cocktail hour because we were able to do all the formal photos before the ceremony.
The reception went off without a hitch and the everyone partied late into the night. So so happy for Katie and Peter- it was such an honor to photograph another Roy Girl’s wedding! We wish you and your families all the best- congratulations!
