Grace and Dave were married at the beautiful Stone Barn at Sebago Lake this past weekend. It was another sunny (but humid) day in Maine- a perfect toasty day for a wedding! I had been to the Stone Barn area just once to do a family session last year and was very much looking forward to being back ever since. In my mind it is just about as perfect of a venue as one can get- huge trees, beautiful light, a stone building and a lake- perfection! Who wouldn’t want to get married under those gorgeous trees?! If I were to marry my husband again, The Stone Barn would be a top contender!
It isn’t often I have a ton of connections on a wedding day, but Saturday was an exception. I walked in to find one of my favorite hair stylist (Heather of Sparrow Hair), found out one of my favorite florists (a childhood friend of mine- Ashley of AD Floral Co.) is Grace’s cousin and was in charge of the STUNNING florals for the day (seriously, check them out below- jaw dropping), and an old friend from college days, Meg, is the wedding coordinator at The Stone Barn. All of these people are super talented and made the day amazing, but who really made it over the top was Grace and Dave. They are the kind of people a photographer dreams of- they are laid back, they knew the importance of mingling and really enjoying their guests, they are obviously so in love with each other and just all around good humans.
During the planning stages, Grace was unsure of how late I should stay but she really wanted a couple of fun photos in her party dress during the dancing. I am SO glad I stayed a few extra minutes to capture just how fun that little dress was! Her and Dave tore up the dance floor while the crowd went wild over the outfit change- so so epic!
Congratulations Grace and Dave, thank you for making your wedding day perfection in every way possible!
