Emily & Phil were married on a beautiful summer day in Kennebunkport Maine. Emily is a classic beauty. I literally could have put every photo of her in black and white and called it a day. Her hair, her elegance and her dress- timeless. The picturesque St. Anne’s church provided a stunning ceremony space where Emily and Phil said their vows in front of their friends, family and the Atlantic Ocean. Emily had a vision for her day and she nailed the details! I loved the touches of blue and those vintage china patterns- wow- perfection! I couldn’t stop photographing the table settings at the reception- they were stunning.
Since we were able to get all of the formal photos done prior to the ceremony, Emily & Phil enjoyed their sun-filled cocktail hour on the decks of the Kennebunk River Club. Spicy margs were flowing, the sun was shining and everyone was enjoying each other’s company. The day was lovely from the very beginning, but things really started to take a turn when the best man not only gave a great speech, but belted out the Disney classic Beauty and the Beast to round out his toast. Emily and Phil even got up and started slow dancing! You could feel a huge energy shift, instantly! Maybe it was the spicy margs, maybe it was the Disney tune, maybe it was the hot band…whatever it was, the guests turned it on and partied hard! I know it sounds weird, but it is always a good feeling when I have a hard time getting dance photos. That just means the dance floor is packed and everyone is having a blast!
We had such a great time photographing Emily and Phil and their wonderful friends and family. Congratulations you two!
